AUSTRALIA'S NATIONAL PARKS

Jewels of Australia

Australia's National Parks series showcases the beauty of the fifth continent in lush images. Since the landmass of Australia broke away from the primeval continent of Gondwana more than 50 million years ago, a unique flora and fauna and a fascinating wealth of species have developed. In five films, the series presents these jewels in the crown of Australian nature as a high-profile international co-production. The unspoiled nature of this ancient continent has been preserved in these unique protected areas. We traverse lush rainforests and climb snow-capped mountains, dive with whale sharks through coral reefs, search for the last marsupials in the Tasmanian forests and watch giant red kangaroos in the desert. The Australian Alps lie in the south-east of the fifth continent. They are bisected by the Snowy River, home to the wild horses known as brumbies.

These award-winning productions combine stunning landscape and wildlife photography with exciting stories about extraordinary people.
