In northern Myanmar only the tribe of the Intha, the "people of the Lake", has the ability to produce the most expensive material in the world, the so called Lotos silk, out of the fibers of the water plant Lotos. For one yard of fabric 10,000 stems and one week working time are needed. For this reason Lotos Silk is the most expensive fabric in the world. It is the material of Buddha, made from the plant, which is dedicated to him. The film shows the weavers and their families who produce a fabric which they are not even allowed to wear themselves.
