Whales touch something in us. The powerful body, the powerful flukes in the evening sun, the striking dance of the giants - these are images standing for healthy oceans, for a sane planet. They stand for the longing of mankind to be a one with a well environment. What moves the whale inside us? Together with the Australian Doug Cochran we follow the myth of the whales. Cochran, on behalf of the Nature Conservation Agency, has freed over 60 whales, caught in nets, anchor lines and other rope waste. Only recently, Doug found out that his ancestors were infamous whalers.
